Next week construction will begin at Lake Eloise as the WCID makes improvements to the Lake’s southern dam and surrounding drainage infrastructure. The existing earthen dam will be reconstructed and reinforced to enhance its long-term safety, and a new channel spillway will be added southeast of the dam to provide a safe path for excess water during significant flood events.

Residents should expect to see construction activity and traffic along the eastern and southern sides of the lake. The existing designated areas on the northern and western banks will remain open for resident fishing, and the lake’s water level is expected to remain largely unchanged throughout the project.

For everyone’s safety, please do not enter the eastern and southern banks while construction is underway. The work is expected to be completed in the spring.
