Due to a change required by Walnut Creek SUD and the City of Rhome, Rolling V Ranch WCID No. 1, 2 and 3 are now under Stage 4 Emergency Drought Restrictions. Immediate action is required.

• All landscape irrigation is prohibited (except foundation/tree watering with hand-held hose, bucket, or soaker hose – limited to 2 hrs/day).

• No vehicle washing unless for health/safety reasons.

• No filling of pools, ponds, or water features.

• Non-essential internal water use is suspended.

Increased water rate surcharges and enforcement penalties are in effect.

We are told that the reduction is due to technical limitations in Walnut Creek SUD’s system, and believe those relate to larger pumps and storage tanks that they have not yet been able to bring into service.  We are continuing to monitor conditions closely and will provide updates as they become available.  The Rolling V Ranch WCID 3 groundwater system now has power to both water storage facilities and all but 1 well site.  The system is going through final cleaning and startup and will go into service as soon as possible.
