Stage 4 Restriction Update
July 2, 2025
Residents,
The Rolling V Ranch districts wish to provide an update on the Stage 4 watering restrictions enacted on Saturday, June 28.
Rolling V Ranch Water Control and Improvement Districts (WCID) 1-3 moved to Stage 4 of our drought contingency plan in response to actions taken by the City of Rhome, who supplies water to the district, and Walnut Creek SUD, who supplies water to Rhome. State regulations require wholesale water customers to mirror the restrictions put in place by their respective water supplier(s).
https://www.rollingvranchwcid3.com/news/waterwellupdateAs mentioned in prior updates, the WCID is constructing a groundwater system that will help supplement water purchased from the City of Rhome. All components of this system are expected to be completed in the coming year.
For the immediate present, the WCIDs are also building an interconnect between two of the water wells and the existing distribution system serving resident homes. This temporary interconnect is designed to help meet demand until the entire groundwater system is fully complete.
Construction of this interconnect began two weeks ago and is an extremely high priority for the Districts. The Districts and Developer are working diligently to complete construction and obtain all necessary approvals from the https://www.tceq.texas.gov/Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in order to ease the irrigation restrictions currently in effect.
We are in Stage 4 drought restrictions until further notice. Fines are in effect.
